Solgar Chelated Iron contains high quality iron, which is the main component needed for the manufacture of haemoglobin, the pigment accounting for the colour of red blood cells. A lack of dietary iron leads to iron deficiency anaemia, a problem that is especially common in young women, pregnant women, elderly people (often due to poor absorption), those on low income and in children who are vegan or vegetarian or who eat a poor diet. Nutrients such as vitamin B12, folic acid, vitamin C, copper and molybdenum help the utilisation and function of iron as a blood builder. In addition to helping the transport of oxygen through the bloodstream, iron is also a component of myoglobin, a pigment which allows the muscle cells to retain oxygen. Iron is also an essential constituent of many enzymes required for proper health. Iron is also helpful to those who are fatigued (if iron deficient), and suffer from an excessive loss of blood, such as following menstruation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
As a food supplement for adults, one (1) Vegicap daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
