Hyaluronan - Found in Joints, skin and eyes
Hyaluronan (HA) is a protein which occurs naturally in the body. It exists in all living organisms and is found in the synovial fluid of the joints for lubrication; the vitreous humour (fluid) of the eye and most abundantly the skin. After the age of 50 the HA levels in our bodies decrease by 50%!
As Hyaluronan (HA) becomes depleted in the body, it can cause stiff joints, dry eyes and wrinkly, sagging skin. HA (found in the synovial fluid of the joint) plays an active role in maintaining joint health by helping to reduce friction, acting as a natural anti-inflammatory agent as well as an anti-oxidant.
Dennis Gore, a Biochemist and Pharmacist, and a regular on BBC Radio and TV says: “I recommend a HA supplement to people with joint problems as I know from experience that it helps. One recent customer was a keen tennis player with who couldn’t move her arm. She’d tried over the counter anti-inflammatory pills which hadn’t worked, yet after just one course of Liquid Hyaluronan she is now fully fit and able to play again.”
HA binds 1,000 times its weight in water, making it the ultimate in natural moisturiser, it transports nutrients to the body and, can help to restore the moisture and lubrication that the aging process takes away.
‘The Village of Long Life’
Hyaluronan supplementation was discovered in a village called Yuzurihara, just two hours south of Tokyo. After American news reporters visited the region, they noted that of the 990 villagers surveyed by the World Health Organisation, ten times more people in this village were living beyond the age of 85 years. Not only were these inhabitants living longer but the appearance and vitality of its aging people showed they had smoother skin, flexible joints, healthy thick hair and very few needed reading glasses. Why not top up you HA levels?< PrevNext >
