We just had to try making some butter with our organic double cream from Emma’s Dairy at Gazegill Farm. Past experience has usually meant this an onerous and time consuming experience, but in this case we were done in just five minutes!
- After about four minutes of mixing you will quickly see the butter forming and the buttermilk separating from the mixture. Pour off the excess butter milk at this point and either save for baking or discard. Mix for a further minute for the consistency of butter (there will be a little more buttermilk to pour off). You’re done.
